چکیده
The study was designed to assess patient adherence wearable cardioverter defibrillator as an indicator of device effectiveness. training is not widely properly standardized. We enrolled 25 patients with a prevent sudden cardiac death between June 2020 and August 2022. Among them, 84% were male median age 63.6 years. indication ischemic (44%) non-ischemic (56%) disease. followed-up until the decision upgrade implantable taken. trained according our suggested protocol. wear time 90 days, daily 23.5 h, similar throughout sex, age, groups. In total, 24% participants underwent implantation. Between device-implanted non-implanted groups, left ventricular ejection fraction indexed end-diastolic volume significantly different (EF 35.8 ± 12 vs. 46.4 8.5%, p = 0.028, iEDV 108 52 70.7 21.1 mL/m2, 0.024). did find any differences in magnetic resonance data, even though all who implantation had late gadolinium enhancement spots. Our results support standardized obtain great instructions therefore its

Intermuscular pocket for subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator: Single-center experience
The subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (S-ICD) is a novel device now accepted in clinical practice for treating ventricular arrhythmias. In 14 consecutive patients, S-ICD devices were placed in the virtual space between the anterior surface of the serratus anterior muscle and the posterior surface of the latissimus dorsi muscle. During a mean follow up of 9 months, no dislocati...
متن کاملImplantable cardioverter-defibrillator in a patient with dextrocardia situs inversus
Background: Dextrocardia is a congenital anomaly, which may have coexistent coronary artery disease (CAD), arrhythmias and conventional indications for device therapy. However, the implantation of transvenous leads can be technically challenging and the approach needs to be tailored to the patient's individual anatomy. Case presentation: A 54-year-old male with dextrocardia situs inversus and i...
متن کاملFirst experience with the wearable cardioverter defibrillator in the Netherlands
The implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) has significantly improved survival in patients with an increased risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD). The wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) is an alternative to the ICD in patients with a transient ICD indication or those in whom an ICD temporarily cannot be implanted. We describe here the technical details of the WCD and report three pat...
متن کاملImplantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Therapy: A Single Center Experience in Saudi Arabia
INTRODUCTION Internal Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICD) has been shown to decrease mortality in patients such as those with structural heart disease or at high risk of sudden cardiac death. To date there is no data regarding the clinical features, and outcomes of ICD patients in Saudi Arabia. Accordingly, we explored the clinical features and outcomes of ICD therapy among Saudis. METHODS Pati...

BACKGROUND The subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (S-ICD) is recognized as a viable alternative to the transvenous ICD. The safety and efficacy of this device has been demonstrated in Western countries, but studies with S-ICD implantation in Japanese patients have not been reported. METHODS AND RESULTS Twelve patients received an S-ICD implant in our institute between Februar...
